The battery system of N1-S is currently one of the safest battery systems designed in its segment. The entire system is protected by 5 safety layers:
- Thermal protection: Protects against overheating, the battery pack is shielded by heat-resistant materials and heat generated is quickly dissipated through the aluminum casing. The design is optimized for cooling with air circulation.
- Mechanical protection: Battery cells are isolated, housed in steel casings, protective circuitry is external, and everything is shielded in a premium aluminum casing. It features shock resistance, impact protection, and IP67 water resistance. The N1-S battery pack is also equipped with a pressure relief valve to ensure stable pressure inside the battery casing under harsh operating conditions.
- Electrical protection: The connector caps can withstand high charging and discharging currents along with a tidy design of electrical wires and industrial-grade switches to prevent impact damage.
- Electronic & Software protection: The highest-grade electronic components and battery protection circuits on the market are controlled and managed by software with the highest safety standards.
- Sensor protection: High-quality sensors like pressure and temperature sensors continuously operate to provide information on the slightest changes in the battery pack, ensuring optimal system operation.
- The charging system is equipped with auto cut-off technology when fully charged (2 layers of protection from the battery and charger). Especially, the system only allows charging under safe conditions such as battery temperature, charging current meeting safety requirements, and overcurrent protection. The system automatically reduces charging current when the battery is nearly full to protect the battery.
