FAQs
The Regenerative Braking system uses electric power and the motor to function. It converts kinetic energy during braking into stored energy, helping to save power. Additionally, it reduces the load on mechanical brake components by reducing friction and heat, which enhances the durability of the mechanical brakes.
The suspension system includes an upside-down front fork and a mono-shock rear suspension. For the Founder's Edition, it is also equipped with an Ohlins front fork/rear mono-shock kit and Brembo front/rear brakes, optimizing the rider’s experience and contributing to improved safety features.
The two-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
The Cruise Control function and Reverse Gear are integrated to reduce fatigue and increase convenience when commuting in urban areas and on long-distance rides.
The battery system of the N1-S is currently one of the safest battery systems in its class. The entire system is protected by 5 layers of safety standards. (For detailed information, please refer to the Battery & Charging Stations section.)
The entire vehicle, including the battery and motor of the N1-S, meets the IP67 water resistance standard, allowing the vehicle to operate stably in water up to 0.5 meters deep for 30 minutes.
All components and parts in the electrical system of the N1-S are designed to be water-resistant, also meeting the IP67 standard.
The N1-S battery system is currently one of the safest battery systems in its class. The entire system is protected by five layers of safety:
- Thermal Protection: Protects against overheating. The battery pack is safeguarded by layers of heat-resistant materials, and the heat generated is quickly dissipated through the aluminum casing. The design is also optimized for air cooling.
- Mechanical Protection: The battery cells are isolated and housed in a steel casing. Sensors and protection circuits are placed externally, and the entire system is encased in a premium aluminum shell. This aluminum casing is designed for fast heat dissipation, shock resistance, and IP67 waterproof protection. The N1-S battery pack is also equipped with a pressure relief valve to ensure internal pressure remains stable under harsh operating conditions.
- Electrical Protection: High-grade connectors handle high charge/discharge currents, and the wiring and switches are designed to be compact and impact-resistant, meeting industrial standards.
- Electronic & Software Protection: The most advanced electronic components and battery protection circuits available in the market are controlled and managed by software developed by the NUEN team, adhering to the highest safety standards.
- Sensor Protection: Advanced sensors, such as pressure and temperature sensors, continuously monitor even the smallest changes within the battery pack and relay this information to the protection circuits. This ensures the system operates under optimal conditions and prevents any risks during operation.
- The charging system is equipped with automatic shut-off technology when fully charged (with dual-layer protection from both the battery and charger). Additionally, the system only allows charging when safety conditions, such as battery temperature and charge current, meet the safe thresholds, preventing overcharging. The system automatically reduces the charge current as the battery nears full capacity to protect the battery.
Charging Time:
The N1-S charging system supports two charging modes:
- AC Charging with 220V Household Power:
- DC Fast Charging with 3-Phase Power at NUEN MOTO Charging Stations:
Battery Lifespan:
- The battery cells used in the N1-S have a standard lifespan of 1000 cycles (1 cycle refers to one full charge and discharge of the battery).
- If customers use the bike daily and charge it once a week, the battery life will be equivalent to 20 years. Increasing charging frequency will correspondingly decrease the battery lifespan.
- Battery cycle life refers to the number of charge and discharge cycles the battery can endure before its capacity drops below a certain percentage of its initial capacity, typically 80%.
Charging Stations:
- Dedicated DC charging stations will be installed at the NUEN MOTO showroom. Location: No. 11, Street No. 10, An Loi Dong Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City.
- In the future, the NUEN MOTO charging station network will be developed to meet customer needs as conveniently as possible.
- The maintenance costs for electric motorcycles are more economical compared to gasoline motorcycles, as electric vehicles don't require refueling or engine oil changes.
- Additionally, electric motors have far fewer components compared to internal combustion engines, which means significantly less wear and tear, reducing the need for frequent maintenance.
Costs include:
- Charging fees at fast-charging stations or electricity costs when charging at home.
- Basic maintenance and repair costs, such as vehicle cleaning, chain and sprocket adjustments, and gearbox oil changes.
The standard warranty policy for the N1-S electric motorcycle is expected to include:
- 5-year warranty with free repairs for the battery pack.
- 2-year warranty for the entire vehicle, excluding the battery pack.
Details of the warranty program will be updated soon.
